1831

  • November 4:  Alcana Mumpower was born in Virginia to Peter and Miriam Mumpower.

1850

  • October 12:  The U.S. Federal Census enumerated in Caldwell County, MO showed 19- year-old Alcana living with his parents and siblings. His father, Peter, is a farmer.

1860

  • June 18:  The U.S. Federal Census enumerated in Caldwell County, MO showed Alcana, a farmer, living with his wife and their infant daughter.

1864

  • August 9:  Alcana enlisted in the U.S. Army.
  • August 30:  Mustered into the 44th MO.
  • November30:  Fought in the Battle of Franklin where he was slightly wounded in the arm. 

1865

  • January 1:  Promoted to Sergeant.
  • August 15:  Mustered out of the U.S. Army.

1870

  • July 12:  The U.S. Federal Census enumerated in Caldwell County, Missouri showed Alcana, a farmer, living with his wife and four children. Living in the household next door are his parents.

1879

  • April 15:  Alcana applied for a Military pension.

1900

  • June 1:  The U.S. Federal Census enumerated in Caldwell County, MO showed Alcana, living with his wife, Isabella.

1901

  • January 17:  Alcana Mumpower died. He was buried at Kingston Cemetery, Kingston, MO.
