Classic House Tour at Carnton
Tickets: $18 for adults, $8 for children (ages 6-15)
THIS TICKET INCLUDES:
60-minute guided tour inside Carnton
Map and access to the grounds, outbuildings, family cemetery, and garden
Monday through Saturday - 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Sunday - 11:00 am to 5:00 pm
The last guided tour of the day begins at 4:00 pm.
The grounds close at 5:00 pm. Guests typically spend 30 to 45 minutes exploring the grounds, outbuildings, garden, and cemeteries at their own pace.
Carnton is closed on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas.
Note: On Thursday, November 8 and Friday, November 9, house tours are reserved for school children from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm during our annual Blue & Gray Days.
About the Classic Tour at Carnton
Classic House Tours are offered throughout the day, and the last one begins at 4:00 pm. The Classic Tour lasts approximately one hour, and we recommend spending an additional 30 to 60 minutes exploring the grounds and outbuildings. The grounds close at 5:00 pm. Use the map provided with the purchase of admission to explore the grounds and gardens of the historic house. Original outbuildings are open to explore.
Plan to visit the McGavock Confederate Cemetery while you are visiting Carnton. Located adjacent to the property, the Confederate Cemetery is open during daylight hours and there is no charge to visit. Click here to learn more about the cemetery.
