  • December 9: Eugene St. Claire Judkins was born in Highland County, OH to Robert and Anna Judkins.

1850

  • August 14: The U.S. Federal Census enumerated in Fairfield, Highland County, OH showed 5-year-old Eugene living with his parents and siblings. His father, Robert, was a physician.

1860

  • July 7:  The U.S. Federal Census enumerated in Fairfield, Highland County, OH showed 15 year old Eugene living with his parents and siblings. His father, Robert, was a physician.

1861

  • Eugene attended Wesleyan University at Delaware when his studies were interrupted by the outbreak of the Civil War.

1864

  • August 3: Eugene enlisted in the U.S. Army, 175th OH Infantry. (18 years old at date of enlistment)
  • September 16: Mustered into Co. E, 175th OH.
  • November 30: Fought in the Battle of Franklin.

1865

  • June 27: Mustered out of the U.S. Army in Nashville, TN.
  • Eugene studied medicine under his Uncle Dr. Jesse P. Judkins of Cincinnati.

1870

  • June 28: The U.S. Federal Census enumerated in Fairfield, Highland County, OH showed Eugene, a student, living with his widowed mother and younger sister.
  • Graduated from Miami Medical College at Cincinnati.

1880

  • October 4:  Eugene married Mary Amanda Savage.

1911

  • June 6: Eugene died in Cincinnati, OH. He was buried in the Sugar Grove Cemetery in Clinton County, OH.
