  • January 22: Moses Washington Faucett was born to Nathaniel and Brigit A. Faucett in Henderson County, TN.

1860

  • June 25: The U.S. Federal Census taken in Mifflin, Henderson County, TN showed 16-year-old Moses living with his parents and siblings. His father, Nathaniel, is listed as a “tenant farmer.”

1861

  • May 30: Moses enlisted in the C.S. Army in Jackson, TN.
  • August 14: He mustered into Co. I 13th TN Infantry at Camp Near, New Madrid, MO.

1862

  • May to July: Company Muster Roll. Present. Remarks “has received bounty.”
  • August 31 to December 3: Company Muster Roll. Present

1863

  • January & February: Company Muster Roll. Present
  • March & April: Company Muster Roll. Present. Remarks “on special duty”
  • July to December: Company Muster Roll. Present

1864

  • January & February: Company Muster Roll. Present
  • November 30: Moses fought in the Battle of Franklin and was captured.
  • December 3: Sent to Louisville, KY as Prisoner of War and sent on to Camp Douglas.
