Park Day - Friday, April 6, 2018
Looking for an opportunity to get involved doing hands-on preservation work? Dust off your work gloves because The Battle of Franklin Trust is looking for volunteers to participate in Park Day on Friday, April 6th! Park Day is an annual, nationwide event sponsored by the Civil War Trust to promote hands-on preservation to maintain America’s battlefields and historic sites.
This year, BOFT’s Park Day project is to clear brush at Carter House. Tasks range from picking up sticks, to pulling up weeds, to somewhat strenuous clearing. The work day begins at 10 am and concludes at 2 pm with a lunch break in the middle. Pack a sack lunch, and we will provide drinks and chips. As a thank you for your hard work, each participant will receive a Park Day t-shirt from the Civil War Trust as well as one free ticket for a Carter House Classic Tour.
If you are interested in participating in Park Day 2018, please fill out the form below or email Grace Abernethy at firstname.lastname@example.org.
*In the case of inclement weather, Park Day will be cancelled.
